The last couple of days have been good days for Deer, The first day I saw my huge monster but he was so far away couldn't get any photos , I couldn't walk he was on private property also.

Drove up about a mile from him and I saw a heard of deer, it was weird this time of year the bucks are done with the rut and are in bachelor groups, but there was two bucks with about 20 does.

After I could see them I started to look through my lens for the bucks, on was a 3x4 pretty decent , the other to my surprise was a 5x7 pretty thick not very wide or tall, looked like white tail antlers.

Got a few shots of him went back to see where my monster was, it was about dark and I saw him bed down about 300 yards from me.

He was with his followers two 4x4 a 3x3 a little 2x4 he is going to be fun to watch grow he will be a monster he i s about a year old and he already has stickers growing out from his points. There is also a 4x5 and a 5x5 with my monster the 12x7.

So I decided I would go home and come back in the morning, I live about an hour and 20 minutes from where the deer are.

I woke up at 4:30 am and meet a friend and headed up there, didnt see them at all , we looked where they where the night before and nothing.

We headed up to this other spot and my phone rang, it was my other friend he was out where we saw the deer the night before, he was headed out of the property and he said who do you have with you? I said my friends name he just laughed and said you both need new eyes, these deer are right next to the road beded down .We must have been looking out farther deer, so we drove about 80 miles an hour to get back to him.

And sure enough there was the gang of deer, right next to the damn road.

The deer are starting to show rutting behavior again, it is strange they are smelling the air and chasing doe's , it must be this mild weather.

Grizzly bears and life

Montana
On this Cold and snowy last day of the year in 2009, my thoughts turn to the north, wide open wilderness.
Remembering back to early April I traveled to Montana, still snow covered roads , pitched a tent in the cold and went and photographer grizzly bears.
Thanks to blankets, thermal under clothes and a tent heater I was in paradise.
At that time of year the Grizzlies are just coming out of hibernation, they are walking around looking for food.
They are looking for animals like elk, deer, moose that didn't survive the harsh winters of Montana, they are walking around in a daze still not fully awake and tuned in to the world around them.
This time of year they seem pretty tolerable to people , but they are still the most dangerous animal in my opinion in North America.
Still keep your distant from them, they can turn on you without notice.
Maybe that is why I am fascinated with them , they run through my dreams , I think about Bears at least once a day.
It brings me back to Utah , I was in the hospital at the University of Utah for nerve problems in my back.
One day I cant remember who gave it to me a vase from the gift shop a Native American vase, and on this vase it had a grizzly bear.
After the Doctors left the nurse came in and she said oh wow a Grizzly bear, and then I realized I had a ring on my finger of a grizzly bear track.
The Nurse said I was surrounded by Grizzly, she said do you know what that means? I said no, she said the Grizzly bear is a sign of strength, she said I would over come this , the grizzly will always be with me to give me strength.
I guess I need to go back a few years before that day, when I was 17 two months away from turning 18.
It was June 1996 2 days before my moms birthday, I was in my room watching tv with my cousin and my brother.
I wasn't feeling good and they where going to go get some lunch, so they called in some food at the local gas station, before they went to pick it up my mom was wondering if my brother and I could move her tv.
so we went in to move the tv and the moment I picked it up everything went dark, I had a ringing in my ears , more like chainsaws , or lawn mowers, I went to the ground.
I could hear talking over the noise , my mom thought maybe I just got up to fast so she laid me down on her bed and my brother and cousin went to get the food.
As soon as they left I told my mom that I felt like something was majorly wrong, I couldn't talk to well, I told her to call the ambulance.
That is all I can remember then waking up in the hospital, they ran tests and kept me in there for 12 hours or so then they said I could go home I had food poisoning.
so I went home I couldn't walk, I couldn't talk, all I did was sleep. the next day my mom took me back to the hospital and the admitted me.
it took them 2 more days to realize I had a stroke, that first day in the ER someone came to me and put there fingers through my hair and said you will be OK, you have the strength of a bear and will come out out of this.
I was in the hospital for about a month in rehab, I had to learn to talk, walk, write again with my left hand my right hand was paralyzed , still to this day my right hand has no fine motor skills cant write with it anymore.
It took most of 2 years to recover fully, well I cant say fully because my hand, but treacherous rehab and great Doctors helped me back.
The worst part was it was my Senior year of high school and I missed it, missed out on allot of things because of the stroke.
I guess I have a strong place in my heart for the Grizzly Bear , God and the Grizzly gave me strength the entire time.
It would have been so easy to just give up on life, and be paralyzed for the rest of my life.
Shortly after that I taught my self to hold a camera again and focus , Back then my first camera was a Nikon f2 all manual had to adjust the focus the aperture and speed , it was hard to do with pretty much one hand.

Getting back to Montana it was 6 Years ago that I saw my first wild grizzly , the energy and the thrill that ran through my body was nothing like I ever felt before.
Seeing a grizzly bear that was once Endangered roam in the wilderness of Montana was just a sight to see, Ever since then I have been mesmerized by bears.

Black Bear are all over here in Utah, I once had a bear climb the tree I was sitting in to see what I was, I asked her to please back down and she smiled at me that is when I snapped a few pics .
I have been charged by black bears and grizzly bears, don't get me wrong I keep my distance , but some time you just come upon them, it is there home we are the ones that are visitors .

Do not get me wrong I always carry a gun and Bear spray with me, bear spray first and if that doesn't stop it, then unfortunately I use the gun, that is my last resort.

My goal is to head to Montana and photograph a Grizzly bear standing on his hind legs , that is my dream photograph I may need to Head to Alaska.

I am short on funds this year, I was laid off from work and I need a job, I am thinking about just up rooting out of Utah to Montana or Wyoming , but need to find a job first. I have faith and with the lord and The strength of the Grizzly things will work out, not sure how many time I will travel up north this year, but every time I do I am never let down.
I have seen things that most people would only dream of, looking a bear in the eyes seeing the fire, the strength in a wild bears eyes is hard to describe . I have seen sunrises and sunsets over breath taking mountain meadows, scenery that you could only imagine .
Ii have seen grizzly bears, sat in a herd of Bighorn sheep, Hiked to the top of the 3rd highest mountain in Utah to photograph mountain goats.
Seen grouse doing there mating dances, I have seen Bald and golden eagles on every branch in every tree, I have seen tens of thousands of snow geese, Watched pack of wolves on kills numerous times, had wolves walk 5 feet from me.
Seen river otters playing in the water and sunning themselves on logs in a lake, had bull elk bugle feet away from me, ever hear a bull elk bugle in the cold early morning of mid September Echoing through the valleys?
Seen monster Deer the biggest I have ever seen walk withing 10 feet of you stop and pose for you.
I seem to attract wildlife, people think that it is weird that I talk to the animals while I take photos of them.
I think that is calms them down, if you think I am crazy then commit me now, but you cant be one with nature if you do not understand it. I pretty much tell them that I am not going to hurt them to relax and always always thank them after you are done photographing them. Now I don't want to give away all my secrets.
Be patient with them, Wildlife and nature has no time frame let them do it on there own time.
I have sat for 13 hours waiting for wolves to come back to a kill then leaving at dark and they never showed up, went back the next morning and waited again, only to be rewarded the 2nd day a hour into it not one but 5 wolves came and feed.
Patience pays off sit and wait!!!!

Today was a good day, went with some friends to photograph today, a few deer and a few goats.

Its getting that time of year that my thoughts starts racing and I need to keep busy to take my mind off of things.

It will be two years ago dec 13 that I lost my dad to cancer, it has been a hard two years, you never get over it and it just seems to get harder.
The holiday seasons are hard he was always around, he never missed a family get together, he always made sure he was there.

it just isnt the same without him around, I miss him.

So that is why I throw myself into wildlife, but right now there is non, we are getting snow this week so I hope this helps.

it has been dead here in utah, cold temperatures just no snow.

it has be unusual for winter, we normally would have snow on the ground.

The deer are done with the rutting, because of the lack of snow headed back up the the high country.

There are deer around but nothing bigger than a 4 point, not sure when we will get snow down here in the valleys again, doesn't look good for awhile.

I finally found my monster buck, the biggest I have seen so far in my life, t was thrilling to see.

He is blind in one eye , a 4x4 got in a fight with him and poked it out, he doesnt seem to be slowing down to his blindness.

Saw a few bucks last night, the rut here in northern and central utah is in full swing, I walked up where I knew the bucks where on this hill.

I came around a corner so I could see a little better and a doe walked right up to me, to my surprise a 3x4 mule deer was right behind her, I think she was expecting me to save her from this hormone ravaged beast.

I was a little nervous about being that close to something hoped up on testosterone, he had a broken antler fresh from fighting.

He came withing 5 feet of me and didn't pay any attention to me here are the pics

The deer rut in northern utah has begun , Bucks are chasing the does all over the place.

This time of year the bucks let you get allot closer to them than usual, t they only have one thing on their minds and it is not people or danger.

down south the rut has not yet started.

I have seen numerous times the last couple days that a doe will lead the bucks right in front of a moving car, I think the does think that it is pretty funny.

watching this bucks act stupid the curl there lips, and lick the air to try to catch wind of a doe in heat.

not all doe's come into heat at the same moment give or take a few days, so the bucks run through the heard and checks all the does for the ones that are ready.

If you are a smaller buck you better go somewhere else or you will get beat up, go find a lone doe and meet up with her.

The rut is awesome time to see, most deer only fight with other deer around the same size, I saw the big buck play around with a smaller 3 pointer tonight. the Buck runs through his doe's and is smelling the air behind them, they also lick there tongue and curl there lips to get the smell to choose the right one.

They are more evolved in sex and the smell of the females in heat and ready to mate , you can walk up to most bucks this time of year, they tolerate people unless they yell at them or go running at them,during any other time of the year you wouldn't be able to get that close to a buck unless he is dead or tame.

last night I drove up to my new secret spot up north, It was around 60 degrees outside very warm for this time of year, we have had winter for two weeks and now this heat wave.

No animals could be found, I think this time change has them messed up, or maybe it is just me? I take the later one.

After a awhile saw two bull elk clear up on the top of this peak, the mountain is covered in scrub oak and mixed in with pines and aspens, and sage brush, very mixture of ecosystems, then down below you have sage brush, willows, and a river that the ducks like to hang out on, the moose also.

But the moose was up high also, I think it might have been all the Sunday drivers out.

Three moose a cow, calf, and a bull together up in the pines , but to far for even my lens.

I need the weather the cool down again and bring them down, I would hike up to them, but it is all private and signs every where, I will try for big deer the next couple days.

Winter is not to far off, the trees and the land will be asleep under a blanket of snow.
The bears will soon be buried into the mountains and fall into a deep sleep, the elk and deer will move down into the valleys to find food, the humans will be snuggled up in there homes by the fires.
I didn't accomplish much this year as in pictures, I won a couple contest, but with photos I took last year.
there was tons I want4ed to photograph before winter gets here, I love to photograph bear, but they are almost done for the year. They are wandering around in a little daze right now looking for there last minute calories , and those left over berries they didn't eat this fall.
my goal was to photograph a grizzly standing on his hind legs, that inst going to happen I didn't get back to Montana this fall.
I even missed the elk rut up there, I didn't get any photos of rutting elk.
The good news the Deer rut should be starting soon, and the Bighorn sheep should be fighting the middle of next month . in February grouse and eagles, so things sleep, but other lives in the snow.
I miss my wolves in Montana and Wyoming hoping that they survived the hunts, I am a little sad that I didnt get done the things I wanted to this year, it has thrown me into a depression , I know now that I would never survive without nature and the freshness of the mountains, the pure beauty of the wildlife that lives in those jagged peaks and open meadows, those pine and Quaking aspen forests.
I missed hearing an elk bugle 10 feet from me, a wolf howling, a grizzly bear grazing.
But there is always next year!

crazy night, it was a wierd day up on the property the fire in scofield is making it smokey up there, on top of the the wind was blowing I couldnt hear if anything was coming in, it blew for 3 hours, it stoped a cinnimon bear came into the spring pla...yed in the water, and left, then the wind picked up again, new bear never seen him before, I decided to take my 500mm up the tree with me, I did last year , but this year it was in getting fixed, I have it back And I like the photos of this bear, glad I took it.

man 5 hours in a tree four of what I sat and watched the horses piss me off, they need to play down farther in the canyon that's my spot. I heard tons of trees crashing behind me sounded like a herd of elk, bulls it sounded like there antlers where hit...ting limbs, after 10 min i turned around And I smelt a familiar smell, and 10 min later out came a big Bore Black Bear My drought is over my bears are back!!!!!! this bear kind of gave me the chills, he knew I was there and didn't care, let me tell you what I about died when he went the same way as I was to go back to my car, It was about dark after he left, he came in at 7:45 and up in the mountains it is pitch dark at 8:00. I was a little freaked walking in his foot steps, but all is well.

Went to tonight, got into the tree and situated about 445 about 500 a female moose came in, it was harsh light I wish she would have came in later, oh well I had to make it work.she stuck around for about 15 min then headed off up canyon.About 530 a bull elk came in, he isnt very big, but this guy was fun to watch, he jumped in the spring splashed around, you can tell the rut is near. He laid down in it must have gotten stung by wasp he jumped up and was bucking around like a bull at the rodeo, it was a sight he laid in the dirt and rolled for awhile then tried to bugle but fell misarbly. he stuck around for about 45 min

What is this world coming to? Killing wolves for sport? why kill a predator? You cant eat them you kill for the fun of it.
I hope the Government steps in and says it is unlawful to kill the wolves, Idaho Montana hasn't completed to recovery program, wolves numbers are still low, and the still haven't moved to different states, I guess this is the reason why i like the mountain by myself.
Human beings like to ruin everything thing in this world, they are killing there selves, you know that?
They are destructing there own race, to late to start making up for wrong doings, no turning back.
it makes me sick, you know the United states is over populated with people lets sale hunting tags for that also.

Better enjoy nature and all its glory now, It will be gone in the near future, why do you think that I take photographs? that is all that we will have left.

This weekend I went to photograph mountain goats in Beaver Utah, Friday was a laid back day left around 12 pm to travel to beaver.I arrived at beaver around 3:30 set up camp then went and drove the roads looking for wildlife, The Bow hunt starts Saturday morning so it was packed with people.Saw Mule deer every where, nothing huge slim picking for the hunters.Saturday morning woke up around 6:15 drove the roads saw some deer, and about 25 head of elk, but they where moving fast.The Forest was swarming with people in there camouflage chasing Bambi around, I decided to head into beaver to get gas, I was supposed to meet a friend around 9:00 am to head up to the goats.I went to beaver filled up, checked my voice mail and there was a message from my friend saying he wasn't going to make it, take it, it is a 2 and a half hour drive from Utah county.so I drove back up the canyon, I drove up the road to where i can access the goats a little easier, so I thought.I saw them in the distance there was around 150 plus, so I put my pack on it weight 80 pounds give or take.I wasn't so sure of myself hiking in a UN known mountain range by myself, I started the hike up.The wind was blowing in my face hard, I couldn't breath at times, and the weight of my pack slowing me down.I got half way there and my body just didn't want to move any more I almost turned back , but I came this far and I would be hating myself.now at that elevation your lungs start to burn, you run out of breath very easy, I just took it slow.about 2 hours later I was starting to run down, I though the goats where over this ridge, but They moved.I finally reached to goats I was about 50 feet from some, the herd split some went on the face where it was a rocky ledge, the others up to the top of the mountain.I dropped to the ground grabbed my camera and started to take there photos, The big billy knew I was there but paid no mind.The Nannies on the other hand wanted to know what I was and if I was going to hurt there kids.I have been wanting to photograph mountain goats for a couple years now and I finally did it, I felt like I accomplished my goal.The goats where on one on the highest peaks in beaver about 12,169, Highest I have ever hiked.The heard dropped of the back side and I decided to sit and drink some water, had a Granola bar and started to head down.I was on top of the world, the wind was blowing, it was hard to keep that big lens from shaking, it was chilly about 45 degrees up there.the decent wasn't as bad it went pretty fast.let just say that Saturday night I feel asleep instantly.

Trying to get donation Together to start educating campers about bears, We dont need anymore bears being shot in utah because the public is scared. I am trying to get funds to get brochures out to campers in the hobble creek and maple mountain campgrounds, I am donating my time every night to hand these pamplets to campers, the state of utah will not educate them I will. I am only one man so I cant hit every campground.
I trying to prevent more dead bears in the state of utah, I am thinking about getting education material and hit school, take bear spray, photos of bears, Bear canisters, black bear fur, and skull so they can see what the bears look like and how to be safe.

Havent seen elk, bear, moose, nothing in a long time. The weather had been so wet there are watering holes every where.

It has charged at fisherman, charged at people with dogs.
I am going to find that bear and photograph him, it is my goal.

didn't go camping last night, I stayed home watched the cavs lose to the magic.
I set my tent up on my property last week, went there this morning and a surprise,
If I would have went camping last night I would have had a rude awakening, a bears muddy paw prints all over my tent.
I mean perfect paw prints, he wasn't trying to get in very hard it is a canvas tent, and he didn't tear it. he also tried to get in my brothers trailer, it is early for bears to be out up there, they don't show up till august when the water dries up in the high country.

I feel like I am in a fight with myself, There is something about a wild animal and the fresh air of the wilderness that keeps wanting me to come back.
I need to work, I just wish I could find a job up there, alpine wyoming or gardnier montana.
there is something inside me that is restless, something that is trying to get out , but I keep fighting it.
maybe there is a bear trying to get out, maybe a wolf wanting me just to wander.
life is uncertain right now

Have you ever took time to watch a ospret fish?

Fly's up the river looking for a fish, once it locates one it flys higher, it flutters its wings and hovers over the river.

After spotting his catch it folds its wings up above its head and dives, submergeing itself in the river.

after a couple seconds it emerges with its catch, sometimes it comes out with nothing.

This poor white wolf from the Canyon pack killed a elk by herself, it was to close to the road so the Bear management loaded it up in there truck, she stayed there looking for it, the next day she came back. More pics of here to come

I am headed out to Montana Sunday, supposed to snow, but I hope great pics.
I cant say that I am headed on vacation that is the last thing that it is, I don't have a vacation up there it is another job.
I never relax it is a get go as soon as I wake up, all day long hiking, walking looking for wildlife till an hour after sun goes down.

I guess I am restless the wilds of Montana are calling me again, I wasn't sick the entire time I was there, but this Utah air is making me.
There is nothing like clean pure air, but In Utah it is hard to find.

I am peeling like crazy from the sun burnt I got, While I was sitting waiting for the wolves for 10 hours in the sun.

I just wish that some day soon that I would be hired on or work for a magazine, My dream is to move to Montana and live in the wilderness, maybe just 7 months out of the year, then in winter move back to Utah.
I am headed out again to Montana may 10-15Th should be fun, but I might end up going alone.
I don't like going alone, but you have to do what you have to do.

I am home it was sad driving out of the pines down to the Aspens, and out on the sage brush flats of Idaho, my heart sunk a little.

all in all it was one of my best trips so far, I will be depressed for a couple of days, but I know I will be back there next month.

Coming back into Salt lake with all the cars , and the bad air has me wanting to walk into the woods of Montana and never come back to this place again.

The Clean air and The Wilderness has a hold on me, and it is hard for it to let me go sometimes.

I am just not at a point in my life where I am able to just move up there, maybe some day.

Grizzly bears are always on my mind, cant seem to shake them, they have a story of coming back from almost extinction.

If you just sit there and look into his eyes, you can see there souls they are not the ravenous beast that people think.

I watch one for hours play and roll down a mountain in the snow, I mean tumbling down the mountain.

He came to a river and waded, then up on the sand and rolled on his back with his feet in the air.

Don't get me wrong they are dangerous, but they are dangerous for a reason, for survival.

I think it was Leopold that said " what man fears, he destroys"

I am still working on photos here are some more Foxes until I get to the wolves and grizzly bears.

montana day two and three

Been so busy I am sorry, I will post pictures later, Tuesday was a busy day.
it was in the mid 30s in the morning went to a elk killed by wolves the night before, waited all day long in the hot sun for 10 hours, The wolves came in two Grey, one collared one not.
I got sun burnt bad, that morning we along the river and saw a grizzly bear.
Got some great shots , later on I found out that same grizzly chased some bison in a group of people it was hectic for a min.
This morning I went by myself to the elk kill again, saw the female A pure white wolf.
On the ridge below her was the black male, howling then all a sudden they took of after coyotes.
Had 2 wolves run in front of my care in the north eastern range, a black and a grey.
Saw a black bear 2 years old,but Small Montana's black bear are pretty small compared to Utah.
Went to the valley that has a river run through it, saw a grizzly, he went up and sat in the trees for 6 hours.
He came down And I photographed him till dark, very pretty grizzly with a silver back , he was about 2 years old not very big.
Meet a few photographers been hanging with them and enjoying there company for the last few days, So tonight was our last night so we all went and sat down at a restaurant, A happy ending to a great trip.
Tomorrow it will snow so I hope it is OK weather to drive back to Utah, in the next few days I will post more pics, I will be back here in a month , been invited back next month, anyone want to go?

Montana april 19th 2009

Left utah about 9 am, warm weather great drive not alot of traffic, Went to ashton Idaho.
Climbed up out of the valley and made the steep climb up the targee wildernees.
The tempeture droped still in the mid 50s not bad for a mid april day.
The snow started getting deeper and deeper, there where tracks all over from where snow mobiles played durning the Winter months.
Saw 5 osprey near Island park Idaho, saw few elk, the winter hyas been hard on them.
A fox hunting voles, it was a sight The is hard to describe, he would tilt his head to hear under the snow, And then pounce on them. more to come tomorrow we go look for wolves

My first Wildlife photo I ever took, I took it when I was 7 years old 1985 with my dad by my side.

I won first place at the county fair, I thought this negative was lost for ever

Goats and sheep

This morning woke up early and went to look for goats, found them, but didn't get the shots i wanted.

on my way home A stopped by where the bighorns hang around, but after the sickness went through the heard, I was surprised to see them there.

I glassed the hill and there was about 7 in all three rams Two where OK sized still only about 4- 5 Years old curls are not advanced as some I have seen.

The Fish and game said that the big rams with the full curls are the one that died of the sickness.

I decided to hike to them, it was a warm day 30 out , The hill where they where had snow at the bottom, the hill faces south west and the sun was working fast melting the white, showing the brown(red) Dirt.

I started off leaving the car, I only took my camera and big lens hooked to my tripod, Didn't want to be weighed down with all my gear.

I started hiking straight up, started in snow ice was melting above me making a big Crash on the ledges below.

Water dripped of the rocks, making it slick and wet.

A huge Golden Eagle soar above me, didn't have time to get A photo of it.

I started to make my way towards the Sheep, the didn't care if I was there or not.

After about an hour and a half of hiking I got to where I could get some good photos, one of the rams looked as is if he had the sickness, he was limping pretty bad.

I fallowed them over a ridge and sat there watching the sheep, a osprey flew above me, a rare see in Utah.

I started up a ridge and there about 5 feet from me laying by a rock was a big ram, he didn't seem to mind me being there.

But That is way to close for the lens I had on and I didn't have any more with me, so I back off.

The herd went over the ridge and all of a sudden they started to run back towards me.

A bigger ram had chased them, he chased them two ridges over.

I made my way back the way I cam over the steep slick, snowy patched ledges and headed towards them.

They where on the sky line and just stopped, So I took some shots with the sky behind them and made my way back down to the car, going down is allot harder that going up.

The snow is deep the deer are every where , the snow is up to there bellies and they struggle moving.

The wolves in Montana and Wyoming have mange, A disease they catch from domesticated dogs.
Basically if you take a dog to Montana or Yellowstone and it has mange and you don't know it it, and it goes to the bathroom in the woods, a wolf can come along and is infected just by walking through the place.
The wolves will lose there fur and what a bad time of year for them to lose fur, they will most likely freeze to death.

On thee home front here in Utah The big horn sheep have died off, a domesticated sheep mixed with a herd and gave them something.

I still have seen a three sheep here in Provo and they look pretty healthy, but they have not rutted this year, lets see if any off spring comes this next year.

it was snowy again today, Wildlife heven in my back yard.

Tons of birds, phesants, quil, wood ducks, even a Hawk we I id it as a sharp-shinned hawk.

A year ago today I lost my father to cancer, cant belive it has been a year already.
its been a rough year , it was hard to go up on the property and not see my dad.
Today is a hard day I stopped by and put stuff on his grave , we went to la casita last night.
My dads favorite place, but I didnt drink a margarita for him, so if any goes to la casita please drink my dads margarita for him.
I hope he is up there riding his horse on the mountain peaks of heaven, he better get familliar with the place so when I come he can show me where the beauty is so I can photograph it.
Tons has happened this year, my wildlife is kicking off, more books, calendars and prints are selling.
Got a new car, a house to live in, and a family that loves me.
I have seen places and things that most people have only dreamed of seeing.
I had a photo in the national geographic international photo contest, I came in 4th of over 3000 entries.
The rest of today will be sad, memories flooding my brain , tears filling my eyes.
God Bless everyone and please if you can donate to help fight cancer, so no one has to go through the same feelings I am.
They said the next year they will have the cure for AIDS out on the market, lets hope cancer is just around the corner.

I am home from the Tetons, I have to say very pleasant trip, very productive.

lots of photos to come, we saw tons of elk, a few deer, moose we saw 18 in one field 11 of them where bulls.

Eagles, we saw five wolves on the elk refuge, swans, antelope here are a few teasers until I go through all the pics.

have to say I dont like coming home, I have to leave that beatiful wilderness behind.

I am in another world up there, the scenery is breath taking, the tetons or so majestic.

The sunsets that I captured with my camera is well there is no word to describe it, I feel

free up there, the wilderness takes me in.

It is hard to tell you about the feeling I get being in the wilderness, walking where Jim Bridger and kit carson once walked.

Went to see if the bighorn sheep where in rut, on the way stopped by my special place to see if the deer are rutting yet.

All the was there was a 3x4 with about 6 does, the big guys wasnt there yet, the buck was chasing the does so the rut is begining.

No Bighorns Hiked up about 45 min still nothing.
